Snow & Ice
Do the Inuit really have 50 different words for snow? Yes, they really do. From "qanuk" for snowflake, to "kaneq" for frost, "nutaryuk" for fresh snow, "kanevvluk" for fine snow and nutaryuk for fresh snow, the Eskimo-Aleut family of languages has dozens of ways to describe snow and ice. No matter which -eq, -yuk or -luk you're into, there's no feeling quite like seeing the white flaky stuff coming down outside your window. Or coating the branches of a stand of evergreen trees. If that's a feeling you just can't get enough of, check out our snow and ice collection of wall murals. The austere beauty of a silent winter landscape may just be the perfect backdrop for one of your rooms.
