Room Makeover with Joyfully Green: Guest Room Transformed with Bright New Walls
Those of us that are blessed with an extra room to host guests know how lucky we are. So many people are stuck hosting guests on a pull-out couch or air mattress; having a separate room for guests to retreat to and get some rest is such a luxury. Even though just about any room will do, having a guest room that’s truly comfortable and relaxing is what makes you a five-star host. A cozy, comfy guest room will have all your out-of-town friends hinting at how much they’d love to come visit you during their next three-day weekend.
Joy Green, who blogs over at Joyfully Green, recognizes the importance of a great guest room. She shared her incredible guest room makeover in one of her recent blog posts. Using Walls Need Love’s bold and stunning Life of Lemons Removable Wallpaper, Joy took her guest room from what she described as a “close the door, people are coming over” room to an incredibly welcoming haven for her guests. And the bright, sunny lemon wallpaper made all the difference.
The inspiration
We asked what her inspiration was for this fantastic new guest room, Joy shared: “I started with a dark, small room with low ceilings. I wanted my guest room to say ‘Welcome! We love having you!’ I knew we needed a drastic change for a bright, energetic and fun feeling. When I saw the Life of Lemons print, I knew immediately it had the fresh and joyful feeling I wanted my guests to feel. It all started with the wallpaper! I made the bold choice to do all 4 walls since the room was smaller. It made a huge statement and I love how cheerful the room turned out!”
